Farrow — Privacy Policy

Farrow: Family Piggy Bank ("Farrow", "we", "us") is published by Michael McGill Apps LLC. Farrow lets a family keep track of play-money balances, allowance, chores and savings goals for their kids. The short version: your family's information is used only to run the app for your family. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell or share your data. Farrow does not hold or move real money.

Information We Collect

To keep your family's balances in sync across your devices, Farrow stores the following in your family's private account:

• Account information: the sign-in method you choose (Sign in with Apple, Google, email and password, or a sign-in without an account for kids). If you use email, we store your email address. Sign in with Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real one.
• Family information: your family name, the display names of family members (for example "Mom"), and whether each member is a parent or a kid.
• Kids' profiles: each kid's first name or nickname, emoji, and an optional photo and page background you choose.
• Money records: play-money balances, savings goals, chores, allowance settings, job claims and tips, loans between parents and kids, money sent between siblings, and a history of changes with the notes and optional photos (such as a receipt) you add.
• Notifications: if you allow notifications, a push token for your device so we can tell you when money changes or a chore is done, plus your notification preferences.
• Subscription: if you subscribe to Farrow Family, Apple (on iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (on Android) handles the payment — we never see your card or payment details. The store tells us which subscription your family has, when it renews or ends, and its transaction ID or purchase token, so we can unlock Farrow for everyone in your family.
• Feedback: anything you send us through the app's "Tell Us" form, along with the app version.

We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, or real bank or payment information.

How We Use It

Only to provide Farrow to your family: showing balances and history to the members of your family, sending the notifications you've turned on, and answering feedback. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running the app.

Who Can See Your Family's Information

Only the members of your family who joined with your family's invite codes. Parents can see every kid. Kids see their own page, and see their siblings only if a parent leaves "Kids can see siblings" turned on. People join as a parent only with a separate parent invite code that kids cannot see.

Where It's Stored

Farrow uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions and Cloud Messaging) to store and sync your family's data and deliver notifications. Google processes this data for us as a service provider under its own security and privacy terms. Data is encrypted in transit. Farrow's home screen widgets (iPhone and Android) and Apple Watch app keep a copy of the latest balances on your devices so they can show them quickly.

Children

Farrow is designed for parents to use with their children. A child can only join a family with an invite code from a parent, and only as a kid profile that a parent has already created. Parents control what each kid can do (for example, whether a kid can add money themselves). We collect only what is needed for the family features above, we do not show ads, and we do not share children's information with anyone outside the family. A parent can review a kid's information in the app at any time and can delete it by removing the kid (see below). If you believe a child's information was added without a parent's permission, contact us and we will delete it.

Deleting Your Data

• Delete your account: Account → Delete Account. This removes your account and your sign-in. If you are the family's last parent, the whole family is deleted, including all kids, history and photos.
• Remove a kid: a parent can open the kid's page → Edit → Remove Kid. This permanently deletes that kid's profile, history and photos.
• Leave a family: Account → Leave Family.

When you delete an account that used Sign in with Apple, Farrow also asks Apple to revoke the app's access to your Apple ID.

Without the app: email m@michaelmcgillapps.com with the subject "Delete my Farrow account", from the email address you sign in with (or tell us your family name and the name you use in Farrow). We delete your account, your sign-in, and your membership in the family — and, if you are the family's last parent, the whole family with all kids, history and photos — within 30 days. Deletion does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in the App Store or Google Play.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, other than Google acting as our service provider as described above, or if required by law.

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will appear at this address with a new effective date.
